TUITION PAYMENT AND TUITION ASSISTANCE
The provision of a quality education is an expensive endeavor. St. Peter's has made every effort to contain costs and strives to provide access to the school by supporting those who would otherwise not be able to attend. Presently, one in every three families receives tuition assistance.
Three tuition payment options are available for families with students enrolled at St. Peter's:
1. full prepayment
2. partial down payment with low-rate 10-month financing of the balance
3. or complete low-rate financing over 10 months
TUITION ASSISTANCE OPPORTUNITIES
1. Private School Aid Service (PSAS) tuition assistance applications are available to EVERY family at our March Open House/Registration. St. Peter's Schools encourage families who struggle paying tuition to use the Private School Assistance Service (PSAS) form which can also be picked up in the school office(s) or in the tuition office. It is a confidential way for parents to apply for tuition assistance and for St. Peter's Schools to determine how assistance monies will be dispersed. Parents are asked to use their federal tax information, complete the PSAS form and mail it to Private School Aid Service in Lakewood, Ohio. The application is processed by PSAS and a recommendation for tuition assistance amounts for each family is forwarded to St. Peter's superintendent, Fr. Tony Borgia. All information is strictly confidential between the tuition clerk and Fr. Tony. Families will be notified in late May or early June with the application results.
2. Most families take advantage of the Kroger, Meijer, and the Scrip dollar-for-dollar gift certificate programs. The program is very simple in design and carries great benefit for tuition credit. With purchases of dollar-for-dollar gift certificates to area businesses made during a 12-month period (June through May), parents earn tuition credit for the following school year. Tuition credit is based on a percentage of certificate dollars purchased. Percentages range from 1% to 17% (varies with each business) on hundreds of popular area businesses throughout Mansfield and Columbus.
